Fields of activity

• Establishment and improvement of the national standard base of Ukraine in the field of measuring mass and related quantities, dynamic quantity measurements;
• Assurance of the unity of measuring mass and related quantities, dynamic quantity measurements;
• Verification and calibration of measuring devices of mass and related quantities, dynamic quantity measuring devices;
• State testing of measuring devices of mass and related quantities, dynamic quantity measuring devices;
• Harmonization of the standards of Ukraine, measurement procedures with similar normative documents on metrology in Europe;
• Activities aimed at comparing national standards of Ukraine, carrying out expertise of CMC within COOMET TC 1.6 "Mass and Related Quantities".

• ensuring the measurement of the flow measurements, flow, level and volume of substances;
• fundamental research in the field of measuring flow, level, volume substances parameters of air and liquid flows;
• metrological certification, verification and calibration of measuring instruments in the field of flow measurement, flow, level, volume substances;
• conducting public Inspection and test of measuring instruments in the field of flow measurement, flow, level and volume of substances;
• certification of the staff of laboratories measuring the flow parameters, flow, level, volume substances;
• carrying out activities aimed at solving environmental problems, and in particular, the development of measurement techniques, conducting GUI part in the SPC and certification of measuring and metering of water discharged;
• development of normative documents on metrology and, in particular, for oil and gas sectors in the country and gaz-oil transport to improve the accuracy of accounting and measurement of flow rate and volume fuel and energy resources and the development of programs for computing the calibration tables of vertical and horizontal storage tanks for crude oil and petroleum products;
• harmonization of Ukrainian standards, measurement methods, with the same regulations on metrology in Europe;
• the development of efficient, modern SIT to record the flow of cold and hot water and coolant, as well as their measurement assurance;
• development of methods and means of metrological support of measurements of the level and volume of substances;
• works aimed at the comparison of national standards of Ukraine, conducting examinations CMC tables within TC 1.4 "Flow" COOMET (Chair of TC 1.4 - V. Bolshakov)

   • pressure for excessive pressure
2.  Harmonization of standards in the kinds of measurements assigned to scientific center.
